Terms of Use

Nemi is a Japanese language learning app that pairs you with an AI conversation partner. The app is provided “as is” and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the app at any time without prior notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service.

You can use Nemi without creating an account. Anonymous users are limited to 30 messages. To continue using the app beyond this limit, you must create an account by verifying your email address.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account or use another person's account without permission.

Free trial

Nemi offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (weekly or monthly, depending on your plan) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Payment and billing

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase or at the end of the free trial period. Subscription prices are displayed in the app before purchase and may vary by region.

Managing your subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until then.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Nemi cannot process refunds directly.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Circumvent any access restrictions, rate limits, or payment requirements
• Use the app to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or violates any law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

Nemi uses AI language models to generate conversation responses, vocabulary explanations, and learning content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors.

Nemi is a language learning tool, not a certified translator or language authority. You should not rely on AI-generated content for professional, legal, or safety-critical purposes.

The Nemi app, including its design, code, character artwork, and content, is owned by Nemi. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data, including your profile, conversations, vocabulary, and learning progress. This action cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — you must cancel your subscription separately through your Apple ID settings.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nemi and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of Nemi after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
